Producer Price Index of Agricultural Products, March 2020 in Turkey
Agriculture-PPI (2015=100), on the previous month increased by 1.89%, on December of the previous year increased by 7.65%, on same month of the previous year increased by 10.38% and on the twelve months moving averages basis increased by 18.54% in March 2020.
Compared to the previous month in sectors; product of agriculture, hunting and relating services increased by 2.12%, fishing products and other fishing products decreased by 4.28% and forestry products and related services decreased by 0.13%. Regarding monthly changes by main groups; live animal and animal products increased by 0.84%, non-perennial crops increased by 1.15% and perennial crops increased by 5.74%.

The lowest annual decrease was 19.96% vegetables and melons, root and tubers subgroup
In March 2020, poultry, live and eggs was the other subgroup where high annual decrease realized with 9.25% on the same month of the previous year. On the other hand, other tree and bush fruits and nuts with 26.35% and citrus fruits with 33.81% were the subgroups where high annual increases realized on the same month of the previous year.

The highest monthly decrease was 18.15% in other tree and bush fruits and nuts
In March 2020, the other groups that indicateda decrease were poultry, live and eggswith 4.50% and fibre plants with 4.15% amongst the subgroups. On the other hand, vegetables and melons, roots and tubers with 2.72%, sheep and goats, live; raw milk and shorn wool from sheep and goats with 2.73% and citrus fruits with 7.16% were the subgroups where high montly increases realized.

In March 2020 within average prices of 81 items in the index; the average of prices of 28 items decreased and average prices of 4 items remained unchanged while the average prices of 49 items increased.
