The Rates of Real Profits Created by Means of Financial Investment in Türkiye, February 2023
Deposit interest made the least monthly real loss with the rates of 0.21% and 1.75% according to domestic producer price index (D-PPI) and consumer price index (CPI), respectively.
According to D-PPI, the monthly real profit rate of investors of US Dollar, Euro, government domestic debt instruments (GDDI), gold (ingot), and stock exchange lost by 1.19%, 1.72%, 2.23%, 3.15% and 7.00% respectively. According to CPI, the monthly real profit rate of investors of US Dollar, Euro, government domestic debt instruments (GDDI), gold (ingot), and stock exchange lost by 2.71%, 3.24%, 3.73%, 4.64% and 8.43% respectively.

Gold (ingot) made the highest real profit with the rates of 4.02% according to D-PPI while lost by 1.37% according to CPI, quarterly. In the same period, investors of US Dollar made the highest loss with the rate of 4.05% according to D-PPI and 9.02% according to CPI.

Bi-annually, stock exhange made the highest real profit with the rates of 41.35% according to D-PPI and 38.91% according to CPI. In the same period, investors of US Dollar made the highest loss with the rates of 12.95% according to D-PPI and 14.46% according to CPI.

Maximum annual real profit rate was created by stock exchange
Stock exchange yielded the highest annual real profit with the rates of 40.38% according to D-PPI and 59.76% according to CPI.
According to D-PPI, the annual real profit rate of investors of GDDI, gold (ingot), US Dollar, Euro and deposit interest lost by 14.05%, 21.23%, 21.86%, 26.15% and 34.13% respectively. According to CPI, the annual real profit rate of GDDI, gold (ingot), US Dollar, Euro and deposit interest lost by 2.18%, 10.36%, 11.07%, 15.95% and 25.03% respectively.
