Domestic producer price index in Turkey increased by 25.15% on annual basis

Domestic Producer Price Index, December 2020

D-PPI (2003=100) increased by 2.36% on monthly basis, increased by 25.15% on December of the previous year basis, increased by 25.15% on same month of the previous year basis and increased by 12.18% on the twelve months moving averages basis in December 2020.

Manufacturing increased by 27.32% annually

D-PPI in four main sectors of industry increased by 19.02% for mining and stone quarrying, increased by 27.32% for manufacturing, increased by 0.25% for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning, increased by 14.83% for water supply, annually.

The indices of main industrial groups; increased by 32.92% for intermediate goods, increased by 27.70% for durable consumer goods, increased by 19.18% for non-durable consumer goods, increased by 3.24% for energy, increased by 29.70% for capital goods, annually.

Manufacturing increased by 2.67% monthly

D-PPI in four main sectors of industry increased by 0.02% for mining and stone quarrying, increased by 2.67% for manufacturing, decreased by 1.21% for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning, increased by 1.18% for water supply, monthly.

The indices of main industrial groups; increased by 2.91% for intermediate goods, increased by 1.31% for durable consumer goods, increased by 1.47% for non-durable consumer goods, increased by 2.86% for energy, increased by 1.87% for capital goods, monthly.

Annual decrease was in tobacco products by 17.77%

Annual decrease in D-PPI by sub divisions of industry was the index for tobacco products by 17.77%. On the other hand the highest rates of annual increase in D-PPI by sub divisions of industry were for basic metals by 56.29%, metal ores by 48.97%, for paper and paper products by 34.94.

The highest monthly decrease was in metal ores by 2.34%

The highest rates of monthly decrease in D-PPI by sub divisions of industry were indices for metal ores by 2.34%, other manufactured goods by 1.73%, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning by 1.21%. On the other hand the highest rates of monthly increase in D-PPI by sub divisions of industry were coke and refined petroleum products by 10.71%, tobacco products by 7.74%, basic metals by 6.48%.
