Consumer Confidence Index in Turkey, March 2017

Consumer confidence index realized as 67.8
The consumer confidence index calculated from the results of the consumer tendency survey carried out in cooperation with the Turkish Statistical Institute and Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey increased by 3.2% compared to the previous month. The index became 67.8 in March while it was 65.7 in February.

Financial situation expectation index realized 87.8
The financial situation expectation of household index increased by 2.1% compared to the previous month and became 87.8 in March. This increase resulted from the increase in the ratio of people expecting better financial situation of household in the next 12 months period.

General economic situation expectation index became 93.2
The general economic situation expectation index which was 88 in February increased by 5.8% and became 93.2 in March. This increase shows that number of consumers expecting a better general economic situation in the next 12 months increased compared to the previous month.

Number of people unemployed expectation index became 70.4
The number of people unemployed expectation index increased by 3.7% compared to the previous month and became 70.4 in March. This increase stemmed from the increase in the ratio of people expecting a decrease in the number of unemployed persons in the next 12 months.

Probability of saving index realized as 19.9
The probability of saving index decreased by 5.6% from 21 in February to 19.9 in March. This decrease shows that the possibility of saving of consumers in the next 12 months period decreased compared to the previous month.
