The expenses of the vehicle not registered in company assets cannot be booked. The VAT cannot be deducted as well.

It is stated that it is a private car in the license of the vehicle which we have bought for our company. The vehicle is included in the commercial vehicles section of 87.04 group in the Customs Tariff Statistics Position List (CTSP). Are we going to deduct VAT according to the license or the section in CTSP list?

18% of the VAT paid on the invoice will be deducted according to Article 29 of VAT Law No. 3065 due to the fact that following vehicles (motor vehicle for transporting goods -tariff position no 87.04) are classified as a van according to the tariff position: Box vehicles with single row seats limited to the driving seat, with no side windows in the section behind the driving compartment such as Citan, Connect, Combo, Partner, Berlingo, Caddy, Vaneo, Fiorino, Bipper, Doblo, Kango, Traffic Express; Box panel vans with no seats and with no windows in the section behind the driving compartment such as Starex, Master, Traffic, Transit, Vito, Viano, Transporter, Caravelle, Transit, Jumpy, Ducato, Boxer; vehicles with only two seats in the front, no seats in the rear, closed rear windows, 3 or 5 doors, a fixed panel or net barrier between the driver’s seat and the rear section such as Palio van, Clio van, Corsa van, Matrix Space.

At the end of March, the total number of road motor vehicles registered reached 22 462 346

The total number of road motor vehicles registered to the traffic reached 22 million 462 thousand 346 by the end of March. Within the total, cars represented 54.3%, followed by small trucks 16.4%, motorcycles 13.9%, tractors 8.2%, trucks 3.8%, minibuses 2.1%, buses 1% and special purpose vehicles 0.3%.

In March, 94 588 road motor vehicle registrations were recorded

Within 94 thousand 588 vehicle registrations in March, cars accounted for 58.6%, followed by motorcycles 15.3%, small trucks 14.7% and tractors 6.7%. Minibuses, buses, trucks and special purpose vehicles constituted 4.7% of new registrations.

The number of road motor vehicle registrations increased by 50.8% compared with the previous month

In March, the number of road motor vehicle registrations increased by 50.8% compared with the previous month. Cars, minibuses, buses, small trucks, trucks, motorcycles, special purpose vehicles and tractors increased by 50.6%, 32.3%, 14.9%, 35.1%, 15.3%, 91.5%, %178 and 40.1% respectively.

Among 681 thousand 359 vehicles handed over⁽¹⁾, cars accounted for 70.2% followed by small trucks 16.3%, motorcycles 4.5% and tractors 3.3%. Minibuses, buses, trucks and special purpose vehicles constituted 5.7% of the handed over motor vehicles in March.

The ratio of cars registered using LPG was 38.2%

At the end of March, among 12 million 194 thousand 330 registered cars, the share of LPG-fuelled cars was 38.2% followed by diesel-fuelled cars with 35.8% and gasoline-fuelled cars with 25.7%. The ratio of the cars with unknown⁽²⁾ fuel type was 0.3%.

In March, 55 409 cars were registered to the traffic

In terms of the distribution of trademarks for the 55 thousand 409 new registered cars in March, Renault recorded 15.7%, Volkswagen 10.1%, Fiat 7%, Hyundai 6.4%, Peugeot 6%, Skoda 5.7%, Toyota 5.5%, Dacia 5.5%, Opel 5.3%, Ford 5.1% and the other trademarks 27.8% of the total.

Most frequent engine size was 1501-1600 for registered cars

Within 166 thousand 77 cars registered to traffic in January-March period, 44% of them had engine size 1501-1600, 27.2% had 1401-1500, 12.3% had 1301-1400, 11.8% had 1300 or less, 3.9% had 1601-2000, 0.8% had 2001 and above engine size.

Most frequent colour was white for registered cars

Within 166 thousand 77 cars registered to traffic in January-March period, 58.2% of them were white, 20.6% were grey, 7.2% were black, 5.1% were red and 9% were in other colours.

EXPLANATIONS

(1) Road motor vehicles handed over are that the owners of them had changed through the notaries for one time or more.

(2) Unknown includes the cars for which the type of fuel field in the license was entered incorrectly or left blank and electric cars.
