Tesla introduced an electric truck called Tesla Semi and a new Roadster.

Tesla Semi has a range of 500 miles on a single charge and it will achieve 0-60mph in 20 seconds when pulling 36,287kgs (80,000lbs), the maximum allowed on US roads.

“The surround cameras aid object detection and minimize blind spots, automatically alerting the driver to safety hazards and obstacles.

“With Enhanced Autopilot, the Tesla Semi features Automatic Emergency Braking, Automatic Lane Keeping, and Lane Departure Warning.”

As for cost, the company said that per mile the Tesla Semi would work out cheaper than a diesel equivalent when fuel and other maintenance is taken into consideration – but did not share the cost of an individual truck.

Tesla says the vehicle – known in the US as a semi-trailer truck – will go into production in 2019.

Chief executive Elon Musk also revealed the new Roadster, which he said would be “the fastest production car ever” made. The roadster will have a range of close to 1,000km (620 miles) on a single charge and will do 0-100mph in 4.2 seconds and it will be available in 2020.

Among 675 thousand 972 vehicles handed over ⁽¹⁾, cars accounted for 69% followed by small trucks 16.8%, motorcycles 4.7% and tractors 3.6%. Minibuses, buses, trucks and special purpose vehicles constituted 5.9% of the handed over motor vehicles in March.

The ratio of cars registered using LPG was 39%
At the end of March, among 11 million 493 thousand 249 registered cars, the share of LPG-fuelled cars was 39% followed by diesel-fuelled cars with 34.1% and gasoline-fuelled cars with 26.5%. The ratio of the cars with unknown ⁽²⁾ fuel type was 0.4%.

In March, 56 310 cars were registered to the traffic
In terms of the distribution of trademarks for the 56 thousand 310 new registered cars in March, Renault recorded 17.4%, Volkswagen 10.9%, Hyundai 7%, Fiat 6.7%, Dacia 6.2%, Opel 5.6%, Ford 4.8%, Honda 4.7%, Mercedes-Benz 4.3%, Nissan 4.1% and the other trademarks 28.3% of the total.

Within 179 thousand 116 cars registered to traffic in January-March period, 40.2% of them had engine size 1501-1600, 28.7% had 1401-1500, 13.7% had 1300 or less, 12.8% had 1301-1400, 3.3% had 1601-2000, 1.3% had 2001 and above engine size.

Most frequent color was white for registered cars
Within 179 thousand 116 cars registered to traffic in January-March period, 59.8% of them were white, 16% were grey, 8% were black, 5.4% were red and 10.8% were in other colors.
