D-PPI (2003=100) increased by 7.83% on monthly basis, by 96.74% on December of the previous year basis, by 157.69% on same month of the previous year basis and by 122.93% on the twelve months moving averages basis in October 2022.

Manufacturing  increased by 122.97% annually

D-PPI in four main sectors of industry increased by 162.06% for mining and stone quarrying, by 122.97% for manufacturing, by 554.56% for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning, by 109.45% for water supply, annually.

The indices of main industrial groups; increased by 123.12% for intermediate goods, by 98.65% for durable consumer goods, by 132.88% for non-durable consumer goods, by 417.61% for energy, by 95.61% for capital goods, annually.

Manufacturing  increased by 3.19% monthly

D-PPI in four main sectors of industry increased by 3.49% for mining and stone quarrying, by 3.19% for manufacturing, by 32.55% for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning, by 2.8% for water supply, monthly.

The indices of main industrial groups; increased by 2.38% for intermediate goods, by 2.29% for durable consumer goods, by 4.30% for non-durable consumer goods, by 26.50% for energy, by 3.10% for capital goods, monthly.

Compared to general D-PPI, lower annual change observed in 23  subdivisions while 6 subdivisions were higher

The lowest rates of annual increase in D-PPI by subdivisions of industry were the indices for other transport equipment by 67.83%, for wearing apparel by 80.73%, for basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutic preparations by 82.44%. On the other hand the highest rates of annual increase in D-PPI by subdivisions of industry were indices for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning by 554.56%, for crude petroleum and natural gas by 252.78%, for other non-metallic mineral products by 214.12%.

Compared to general D-PPI, lower monthly change observed in  27 subdivisions while 2 subdivisions were higher

The lowest rates of monthly increase in D-PPI by subdivisions of industry were the indices for metal ores by 0.25%, for basic metals by 0.35%, for chemicals and chemical products by 1.08%. On the other hand the highest rates of monthly increase in D-PPI by subdivisions of industry were indices for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning by 32.55%, for crude petroleum and natural gas by 8.03%.

Transportation and storage services increased by 140.57% annually

The indices increased by 140.57% for transportation and storage services, by 95.83% for accommodation and food services, by 64.65% for information and communication services, by 88.65% for real estate services, by 79.98% for professional, scientific and technical services, by 95.28% for administrative and support services compared with the previous year.

Transportation and storage services increased by 2.34% monthly

The indices increased by 2.34% for transportation and storage services, increased by 1.14% for accommodation and food services, increased by 4.33% for information and communication services, decreased by 2.85% for real estate services, increased by 7.42% for professional, scientific and technical services, increased by 1.09% for administrative and support services compared with the previous month.

Compared to general S-PPI, lower annual change observed in 18  subdivisions while 9 subdivisions were higher

The lowest rates of annual increase in S-PPI were the indices for telecommunications services by 39.48%, for legal and accounting services by 43.46%, for motion picture, video, tv programme production, sound recording and music publishing by 57.09%. On the other hand the highest rates of annual increase in S-PPI were indices for postal and courier services by 177.31%, for air transport services by 163.88%, for water transport services by 141.01%.

Compared to general S-PPI, lower monthly change observed in 14 subdivisions while 13 subdivisions were higher

The highest rates of monthly decrease in S-PPI were the indices for accommodation services by 8.23%, for travel agency, tour operator and other reservation services and related services by 6.41%, for air transport services by 5.56%. On the other hand the highest rates of monthly increase in S-PPI were indices for programming and broadcasting services by 70.46%, for advertising and market research services by 20.31%, for motion picture, video, tv programme production, sound recording and music publishing by 8.47%.

The indices of main industrial groups; increased by 128.34% for intermediate goods, by 106.95% for durable consumer goods, by 105.70% for non-durable consumer goods, by 211.54% for energy, by 105.34% for capital goods, annually.

ND-PPI in two main sectors of industry increased by 2.03% for mining and stone quarrying, by 0.64% for manufacturing compared with the previous month.

The indices of main industrial groups; increased by 0.66% for intermediate goods, increased by 1.27% for durable consumer goods, increased by 1.71% for non-durable consumer goods, decreased by 5.20% for energy, increased by 0.35% for capital goods, monthly.

Compared to general ND-PPI, lower annual change observed in 14  subdivisions while 11 subdivisions were higher

The lowest rates of annual increase in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry were the indices for tobacco products by 80.82%, for wearing apparel by 81.66%, for leather and related products by 96.15%. On the other hand the highest rates of annual increase in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry were indices for coke and refined petroleum products by 211.54%, for other non-metallic mineral products by 143.59%, for chemicals and chemical products by 142.91%.

Compared to general ND-PPI, lower monthly change observed in  9 subdivisions while 15 subdivisions were higher

The highest rates of monthly decrease in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry were the indices for coke and refined petroleum products by 5.20%, for electrical equipment by 1.00%, for motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers by 0.20%. On the other hand the highest rates of monthly increase in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry were indices for wood and products of wood and cork, except furniture by 4.37%, for computer, electronic and optical products by 3.12%, for food products by 2.72%.

The Wholesale Price Index, reflecting wholesale price movements and decreased by -0.14% in September 2019, increased by 1.50% in October 2019.

The annual rate of increase in wholesale prices, which was 26.96% in October 2018, decreased in October 2019 compared to the previous year and became 6.77% and the average annual change rate is 18.52% in September 2019.

In October 2019, wholesale prices decreased on a monthly basis compared to the previous month and decreased in the rate of 7.58% in chemical group, 3.23% in textile group, 2.61% in raw material group, 1.90% in fuel and energy group, 1.40% in mining group, 0.37% in construction material group, -0.08% in foodstuff.

The annual average increase in October 2019 is as follows; 23,97% increase in food, 23,20% increase in fuel and energy, 16,43% in mining, 15,00% in textiles, 13,45% in construction materials, 11,80% in raw materials, 7,88% in chemicals.

Wage Earners’ Price Index in Istanbul, reflecting retail prices and increasing by 1.11% in September 2019, increased by 1.78% in October 2019.

In October, it has been observed that expenditures of clothing, other, food, housing, household goods, health and personal care, transportation and communication increased, and expenditures of culture, education and entertainment decreased.

In general, upward price changes have been observed in Clothing, Housing, Other Expenditures, Fresh Dried Vegetables and Fruits.

The annual retail price increase rate, which was 20.31% in October 2019, increased by 11.28% in the same month of 2019 compared to the previous year. The average annual change rate is 16.75% as of October 2019.
