In February, 32 thousand 53 cars were registered to the traffic in Turkey

Regarding the vehicle registrations in February, cars accounted for 60.3%, followed by motorcycles 15.2%, small trucks 13.9%, tractors 5.9%, trucks 2.3%, minibus 1.1%, bus 1.0% and special purpose vehicles 0.3%.

The number of road motor vehicle registrations decreased by 43.8% compared with the previous month

In February, the number of road motor vehicle registrations decreased by 53.0%, 52.4%, 51.4%, 50.9%, 31.5% and 21.1% for special purpose vehicles, small trucks, cars, minibuses, trucks and buses respectively, while it increased by 28.7% and 12.2% for motorcycles and tractors.

The number of road motor vehicles registered increased by 56.2% compared with the same month of the previous year 

In February, compared with the same month of the previous year, the number of road motor vehicle registrations increased by 98.5%, 73.6%, 68.3%, 67.9%, 61.1%, 6.9% and 4.6% for tractors, cars, trucks, small trucks, buses, minibuses and motorcycles respectively, while it decreased by 43.1% for special purpose vehicles.

At the end of February, the total number of road motor vehicles registered reached 23 million 293 thousand 489

At the end of February, cars represented 54.1%, small trucks 16.4%, motorcycles 14.4%, tractors 8.2%, trucks 3.6%, minibuses 2.1%, buses 0.9% and special purpose vehicles 0.3% of total number of road motor vehicles registered.

843 thousand 550 road motor vehicles handed over in February

Among vehicles handed over(1) in February, cars accounted for 72.5% followed by small trucks 16.5%, motorcycles 3.3%, tractors 3.0%, trucks 2.2%, minibuses 1.9%, buses 0.5% and special purpose vehicles 0.1%.

In terms of the distribution of trademarks for the new registered cars in February, Renault recorded 15.6%, Fiat 11.9%, Volkswagen 8.3%, Toyota 8.1%, Peugeot 6.4%, Dacia 5.7%, Skoda 5.0%, Hyundai 4.5%, Honda 4.4%, Seat 3.8%, Mercedes-Benz 3.7%, Citroen 3.4%, Kia 3.0%, Opel 3.0%, Ford 2.7%, Audi 2.1%, BMW 1.8%, Nissan 1.3%, Jeep 0.8%,  Volvo 0.7% and the other trademarks 3.7% of the total.

In the period of January-February total road motor vehicles in traffic increased by 147 thousand 675

In January-February period compared to the same period of previous year, the number of registered vehicles increased by 46.9% and became 147 thousand 675 while the number of withdrawn road motor vehicles decreased by 61.7% and became 9 thousand 881. Hence, the increase in motor vehicles registered became 137 thousand 794.

In the period of January-February the ratio of cars registered using diesel was 44.9%

Among 98 thousand 54 cars registered in the period of January-February, the share of diesel-fuelled cars was 44.9% followed by gasoline-fuelled cars with 44.2%, LPG-fuelled cars with 8.0% and electric or hybrid cars with 2.9%.  At the end of February, among 12 million 598 thousand 885 registered cars, the share of diesel-fuelled cars was 38.2% followed by LPG-fuelled cars with 37.2% and gasoline-fuelled cars with 24.1%. The share of electric or hybrid cars was 0.1% and the cars with unknown(2) fuel type was 0.3%.

Most frequent engine size was 1501-1600 for registered cars in the period of January- February

Within 98 thousand 54 cars registered to traffic in January-February period, 29.0% of them had engine size 1501-1600, 28.8% had 1401-1500, 20.3% had 1300 or less, 16.0% had 1301-1400, 4.9% had 1601-2000, 1.0% had 2001 and above.

In the period of January-February 52 thousand 588 of cars registered were white

Within 98 thousand 54 cars registered to traffic in January-February period, 53.6% of them were white, 23.3% were grey, 6.7% were red, 6.0% were black, 5.9% were blue, 1.6% were brown, 1.4% were orange, 1.0% were yellow, 0.3% were green and 0.3% were in other colours.
